Specialty Areas
Complex PTSD
-
I treat Complex PTSD (CPTSD) by combining EMDR, parts work, and inner child healing to address the layers of trauma that result from prolonged exposure to abuse or neglect. With EMDR, we target distressing memories and negative beliefs, allowing clients to reprocess traumatic experiences and shift towards healthier perspectives. Parts work helps in identifying and understanding different "parts" of the self that may have developed as coping mechanisms, while inner child healing focuses on nurturing and repairing the wounded child within. Together, these methods help clients reconnect with their sense of safety, self-worth, and emotional regulation, fostering deep healing.
Single Event Traumas
-
I treat single event trauma using EMDR therapy, which is highly effective for processing distressing memories and alleviating the symptoms of trauma. Single event traumas can include experiences such as car accidents, sudden loss of a loved one, physical assault, being witness to violence, or natural disasters. Through EMDR, clients can reprocess these traumatic memories, reducing their emotional charge and allowing for healthier coping mechanisms. By integrating EMDR with supportive therapy, I help clients regain a sense of safety, empowerment, and emotional well-being following their traumatic experiences.

Dissociation
-
In my approach to treating dissociation, I use a combination of parts work and EMDR. Parts work helps clients identify and understand the different “parts” of themselves that may hold trauma, fear, or protective roles. By working with these parts, we can begin to heal the inner conflicts that contribute to dissociation. EMDR, a trauma-focused therapy, helps to process unresolved memories and reduce the intensity of emotional responses tied to trauma. This integrative approach supports clients in reconnecting with themselves, reducing dissociative episodes, and fostering a greater sense of wholeness and emotional stability.
Traumatic Loss
-
I treat traumatic loss with EMDR by helping clients reprocess overwhelming feelings of grief and unresolved emotions associated with their loss. EMDR allows clients to access and desensitize painful memories while fostering new, adaptive perspectives. By working through difficult emotions like sadness, guilt, or anger, clients can reduce the intensity of their emotional reactions and develop a healthier relationship with their loss. This process helps restore emotional balance and provides a pathway towards healing and acceptance.
Crisis/Disaster Response
-
I have advanced training in responding to crises and disasters, utilizing EMDR, EMDR 2.0, and the ASSYST protocol for individuals and groups. EMDR 2.0 is an enhanced approach that speeds up the processing of traumatic memories. Additionally, the ASSYST protocol helps provide immediate relief following traumatic events. These tools equip me to effectively reduce distress and promote psychological recovery, whether working individually or in group settings, offering timely interventions that target acute stress and trauma.
Young Adult Life Transitions
-
As a therapist, I support young adults navigating life transitions, college stress, anxiety, and depression by offering a safe space to explore their emotions and challenges. Using a combination of evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and mindfulness techniques, I help clients manage overwhelming stress, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies. I also focus on improving self-compassion, strengthening self-identity, and addressing underlying emotional patterns that may contribute to anxiety or depression, empowering young adults to thrive during these pivotal stages of life.
