About Me

I grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago and relocated to Knoxville in 2024. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology from DePaul University and my master’s in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University. My clinical experience includes Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, inpatient and outpatient settings, and private practice.

Over my career, one thing has become clear: many current struggles — anxiety, depression, chronic overwhelm, emotional reactivity, difficulty functioning, or feeling “stuck” — are rooted in earlier experiences that were too much or not enough. This led me to specialize in EMDR therapy. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist and am currently working toward Certified Consultant status to train other clinicians. My work is structured, intentional, and focused on long-term change rather than quick fixes.

I primarily work with adults navigating Complex PTSD, attachment injuries, boundary challenges, and the effects of childhood relational trauma. I also treat single-event trauma. While diagnoses can be useful, I focus more on understanding each person’s history, nervous system, and goals so we can get to the source of what’s not working.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a personal and group fitness trainer. That background helped shape my holistic view of healing — integrating physiological, cognitive, and neurological elements. I believe food matters, sleep matters, and movement matters, and that the body often tells the truth before the mind does.

Outside the therapy office, you’ll usually find me working on home projects, gardening, trying new recipes, or spending time with my husband and our two dogs — a German Shepherd mix and a Belgian Malinois. I enjoy staying active, whether that’s hiking, being in the gym, or working in the yard. If I weren’t a therapist, I’d probably be a meteorologist because weather fascinates me; during storm season you'll find me glued to the channels of Max Velocity or Ryan Hall.

I am licensed in Tennessee, Illinois (Telehealth), Florida (Telehealth), and South Carolina (Telehealth).
