EMDR Consultation

Welcome! As an EMDRIA Approved Consultant™ I’m here to guide and support you as you deepen your expertise in EMDR therapy. Whether you're working toward certification or enhancing your skills, my goal is to provide a collaborative and empowering consultation experience.

An EMDRIA Approved Consultant™ has conducted at least 300 EMDR therapy sessions with at least 75 different clients and has provided feedback and guidance to other EMDR trained clinicians regarding their use of EMDR therapy with clients. To achieve this credential, the consultant has met standards for consultation hours during the EMDRIA Approved Consultant in Training™ process, engaged in clinical practice and satisfied continuing education requirements in EMDR therapy. To maintain this credential, the EMDRIA Approved Consultant™ must continue to satisfy EMDRIA requirements including completion of continuing education hours (EMDRIA Credits) and adherence to EMDRIA policies.

  • LPC-MHSP (TN)/LCPC (IL)

  • 15 years of counseling experience

  • Basic Training completed with both The EMDR Institute and EMDR Consulting. I predominantly utilize Francine's model in my own practice and in consultation.

  • Co-Coordinator of East Tennessee Trauma Recovery Network, part of the EMDR HAP (humanitarian assistance program)

For EMDR Certification:

  • See the EMDRIA Website for the Certification Requirements

  • I require a minimum of 5 hours working with me to provide a letter of recommendation. This ensures I can truly get to know you as an EMDR therapist.

  • Consultees seeking certification should be prepared to bring recordings or verbatim transcripts of their work, especially focusing on phase 4.

  • I will provide a case presentation form to guide our consultation meetings.
