I am a current EMDRIA member, Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant-In-Training. EMDRIA members are trained in EMDR therapy and seek the highest standards for the clinical use of EMDR. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor through the NBCC. The National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc. and Affiliates (NBCC) is the premier credentialing body for counselors, ensuring that counselors who become nationally certified have achieved the highest standard of practice through education, examination, supervision, experience, and ethical guidelines.
The national network helps each local/regional group keep up to date and relevant on emerging best practices for early treatment of psychological trauma. When disasters are very large or prolonged, Trauma Recovery/HAP helps local groups access trained clinicians in other localities, to contribute to pro bono services offered to survivors and first responders.
